All Series of RayWay™ Rubber Antioxidant

As the ageing process proceeds and develops, the performance of rubber and its products gradually decreases to the point where they lose their use value completely. In order to prolong the service life of rubber products, some substances that can inhibit the ageing process are added to the rubber, thus prolonging the storage period and service life of rubber and its products. These substances are called antioxidants. There are many different types of antioxidants with different roles. Its main role can be divided into anti-thermal oxygen aging agent, anti-ozonation agent, harmful metal ion inhibitor, anti-fatigue agent, ultraviolet absorber, anti-cracking agent and so on. However, as each protective function is often not a special antioxidant, most antioxidants can play a role in several aging factors, just to different degrees.

Common rubber antioxidants are as follows

6PPD

RAYWAY™ antioxidant 4020 is a greyish-purple to purple-brown granule or flake. Soluble in benzene, acetone, toluene, etc., and insoluble in water. Unstable at room temperature, avoid contact with a strong oxidizer, strong acid and strong alkali. When used together with accelerators M and DM, it has the effect of inhibiting the accelerated aging of harmful metals.

Use: Mainly used in natural rubber and synthetic rubber, it is a polluting antioxidant among p-phenylenediamine antioxidants, with good antioxidant efficiency, and excellent protection against ozone cracking and flexural fatigue. Its performance is similar to that of antioxidant 4010NA, but its toxicity and skin irritation is less than 4010NA, and its solubility characteristics in water are better than 4010NA. It is widely used in the preparation of industrial rubber products such as aircraft, bicycle and car tyres, wires and cables, and adhesive tapes. The product is not suitable for making light-coloured products because of the serious pollution. A p-phenylenediamine antioxidant is the main excellent species commonly used in the rubber industry at home and abroad and is also the future direction of antioxidant development.

IPPD

RAYWAY™ IPPD is an excellent general purpose antioxidant for natural rubber, synthetic rubber and latex, with good dispersion and no effect on vulcanisation. It is commonly used in tyres and other kinds of rubber products, such as bicycle tyres, automobile outer tyres, cables, hoses and tapes. The product is polluting and should not be used in light-coloured rubber products. When 2.5-3.0 parts are used in natural rubber and 4 parts or less in styrene butadiene rubber, no frosting will be produced.

TMQ(RD)

RAYWAY™ TMQ is a general purpose anti-aging agent with excellent anti-aging properties in the rubber industry. RAYWAY™ TMQ is a general-purpose antioxidant with good protection against heat and oxygen-induced ageing. It is used in all kinds of tyres, hoses, tapes, shoes, rubber fabric products and latex products, and is suitable for the production of all-steel and semi-steel radial tyres.

MB

RAYWAY™ MB is used as an antioxidant for natural rubber, diene synthetic rubber and latex, and also for polyethene. It protects against oxygen, atmospheric ageing and static ageing, and is also effective in protecting against copper damage and overcoming the adverse effects of excess sulphur during the vulcanisation of products. It can be used alone or in combination with other antioxidants (e.g. DNP, AP and other non-polluting antioxidants) to obtain significant results. Because of its bitter taste, it is not suitable for use in food-contact rubber products. It has an unstable effect on latex and can also be used as a heat and oxygen-resistant agent for plastics with good heat and oxygen stability. It is easy to disperse in rubber, does not change colour in sunlight and is slightly polluting. When used alone, the dosage is usually 1.0-1.5 parts, when the dosage exceeds 2.0 parts, the frosting phenomenon will occur. The dosage in latex foam rubber is 0.5 parts.

MBZ

RAYWAY™ MBZ is used as a natural rubber, diene synthetic rubber and their latexes, and is similar to the antioxidant MB in that it is a zinc salt that can be used directly without ageing and has the effect of decomposing peroxides. This product has excellent heat resistance. Mixed with other antioxidants of the imidazole group, it has an anti-copper damage effect. Improves the effect of antioxidant MB on latex instability and prolongs the action time. It is used as an auxiliary thermal sensitizer for latex foam adhesive, which can obtain foam products with uniform foam, and also as a gelling agent for latex systems.

RAYWAY™ Rubber Antioxidant DTPD (3100)

RAYWAY™ Rubber Antioxidant 405

Antioxidant 445 is a highly efficient non-fading aromatic amine antioxidant widely used in rubber, polyolefins, styrene, hot melt adhesives, lubricants and polyamides. 445 has low volatility and low addition levels, protecting materials from heat, oxygen and shear damage during material processing and storage. 445 has little effect on the subsequent vulcanization of the material. 445 has a good synergistic effect when used in combination with phenolic antioxidants and phosphite antioxidants..

RAYWAY™ 2246 is a widely used phenolic antioxidant, is one of the better varieties of phenolic antioxidants, excellent protection against thermal oxygen, weathering aging, flexural aging and against altered metals, suitable for light-coloured and non-ferrous rubber products. Widely used in natural rubber, synthetic rubber, latex, other synthetic materials and petroleum products as an antioxidant, the general dosage of 0.10-1.5%. Antioxidant 2246 is a generally stronger bisphenol antioxidant, antioxidant 2246 has the characteristics of high thermal stability, good antioxidant effect, no pollution, no colouring, no frosting, good oil solubility, no volatile loss, no effect on rubber vulcanization and plasticity, unstable, low latex dosage, etc. In the plastics industry, it protects against thermal and photo-aging of chlorinated polyether, impact-resistant PS, ABS resin, polymethyl ether and fibre resin. It is a hindered phenolic antioxidant.

RAYWAY™ BHT264 is widely used in industrial and engineering plastic products, PU paste, polyether, high-grade paints and coatings, anti-corrosion materials, etc.; it is an antioxidant stabilizer for lubricating oil, secondary processed gasoline, paraffin, mineral oil, polypropylene, polyethylene, polystyrene, ABS resin, polyester, cellulose resin, foam. It is a non-polluting antioxidant stabilizer for natural rubber, butadiene rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber, butyl rubber, isoprene rubber, ethylene propylene rubber, transformer oil, all kinds of latex products (especially white or light-coloured rubber products, latex products), etc. (the mechanism of action is slightly inferior to food-grade BHT, the amount of addition must be higher than food-grade BHT).

Antioxidant 616 is a highly active, low volatile, versatile, non-polluting polymeric-hindered phenolic antioxidant. It is recommended as an excellent antioxidant for natural and synthetic rubber polymers and butadiene compounds and is equally effective in emulsions and has excellent dispersibility or compatibility. It shows low migration or extraction under repeated washing and steaming of rubber, elastic silk threads, carpet backing, foam, etc. The superiority of 616 is not only due to its excellent antioxidant effect but also to its insolubility in water and aliphatic compounds so that natural and synthetic rubber products with 616 do not have to worry about the water-soluble migration of the antioxidant during use. It also provides excellent protection against everyday cleaning agents and oils. The product is non-toxic, FDI certified, food contactable, non-flammable and safe in production and storage. 616 has a synergistic effect when combined with phosphite and thiolipid antioxidants.

Antioxidant 616 is mainly used to protect light-coloured, non-polluting compounds and is ideally suited to protect light-coloured or non-coloured derivatives of natural rubber, latex, ABS, PVC, BR, NBR, SBR, SBS and SIS, etc. It possesses long-term antioxidant properties. 616 has been successfully used in products such as latex yarns, carpet backings, foam rubber mats, household and medical gloves, medical products baby pacifiers, bathroom mats, hot melt adhesives, etc. It outperforms traditional antioxidants such as 1010, 1076, BHT and SP.
